Belfast born and raised super-featherweight Mathew Fitzsimons has put pen to paper on a long term managerial contract with Assassin Boxing.
Standing at 6ft 2in, the super-featherweight is an imposing figure for his opponents, and has already picked up 3 wins from his first 3 fights as a pro, stopping two in the process.
At just 21, Fitzsimons is already experienced for his age with 3 ‘learning fights’ already under his belt, however, having been out for 14 months, the Belfast boy will be hoping to get rid of the ring rust, before staying active between now and the end of the year, ahead of a crucial 2019, where Fitzsimons is eager to begin to collect his first titles.
A popular figure in Belfast, Fitzsimons will undoubtedly box all around the UK and Ireland, as well as wanting to follow in the footsteps of fellow Assassin fighters by getting a taste of fighting in America and Mexico, but the youngster is keen to remain to his routes and is already eyeing domestic dust ups locally.
A further announcement will be made later this week regarding Fitzsimons’ Assassin debut, where he will hope to go 4-0.
