Assassin Promotions featherweight Ben Jones has been added to a Bournemouth on a card put together by Steve Bendall and Errol Johnson under the banner of Black Country Promotions, joining Assassin stablemates Jake Best and Alfie best, all hoping to add another win to their respective records.
Jones, the Crawley based fighter, who has shared the ring with current IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby and two-time world title challenger Stephen Smith is hoping to get back to winning ways having narrowly lost out to southpaw Jason Cunningham when he fought for the Commonwealth featherweight title last month.
Alfie Best will hope to build on his impressive debut at the Assassin show at the Grand Connaught Rooms in March, where he got a taste for the pro ranks and has the bit between his teeth.
Jake Best, will again hope to reaffirm the notion that his defeat earlier this year was a once off. The local man got back to winning ways in Southampton earlier this month and is hoping to come closer to challenging for major honours later this year.
Kaz Evans, founder of Assassin Promotions said, “There’s great morale within the team at the moment and it’s good to have all three fighting on the Bournemouth show in July.”
Ben Jones said, “I felt I was really unlucky to not get the decision over Jason Cunningham, but experiences really shape you and I feel that I can come back stronger.”
