CONFIRMED: Andreas Maier Puts Undefeated Record On The Line Against Phil Sutcliffe Jnr This Friday

Andreas Maier will face Phil Sutcliffe Jnr (13-2-0) this Friday, December 1st, in Belfast.
Maier, 33, signed with Assassin Boxing at the begginning of October and has been kept busy since, with a 6 round bout coming in Berlin earlier this Month, against Milo Janjanin who had an impressive record of 10-8-0.

‘I am very thankful to my management team, Assassin Boxing, for getting me fights. We have a plan and we are working towards that’
Maier, who has a perfect record himself, with 7 wins with zero defeats, is considered a big puncher, having won 5 of his 7 fights by knock out.
Maier hit the headlines earlier this year, as he defeated hot prospected Atif Shafiq, on an ITV show, promoted by Richard Poxon, in February.
Sutcliffe Jnr has racked up an impressive resume himself, with 13 wins and just two defeats, with his last outing ending in defeat against Josh Leather, when the pair contested the IBF inter-continental title.

‘He is a terrific fighter, but I see this as a fight I can win, and it will be put me in contention for title fights’.

Kaz Evans commented

‘Andreas is a great fighter, and he is brilliant to work with. We wanted the last fight to be a tough test for him, but we needed to get rid of the ring rust at the same time. Now we will take any fight. This fight will tell us where he is, and a win could put him in to title territory’.
