Assassin fighters Max Wicks and Sam Jones will take to the ring on May 27 at York Hall, under the banner of Mickey Helliet’s Hellraiser Promotions.
Wicks will be looking to achieve what could be his seventh professional win, if all goes according to plan when he’s out next weekend in Bournemouth under the banner Al Siesta promotions at the O2 Guildhall (May 12).
Wicks comes off an impressive win at York Hall on the April 8th Hellraiser Promotions card, where Ben Jones fought Jason Cunningham for the Commonwealth title, and Max will be looking to make it three from three at the venue; A good omen for the 6 foot Middleweight from Sussex.
Super-Lightweight bright spark Sam Jones will also take to the ring, looking to build on what was an impressive end to 2016,where the Bournemouth boxer racked up three impressive wins. He will be looking to build on his unbeaten record when he enters the ring on May 27
Jones is looking to establish himself in a Super-Lightweight division once ruled by legendary names such as Floyd Mayweather, Ricky Hatton, Amir Khan and Oscar De La Hoya.
Now the division lies under the whip of Terence Crawford and Julius Indongo, the latter coming off a win over Ricky Burns in a recent world title fight Scotland.
Philip Bowes will top the bill for York Hall, competing for the English Super-Lightweight title against Glenn Foot, a fight shaping up to be one to remember.
Kaz Evan, founder of Assassin Promotions: “York Hall is an iconic venue, and one that is steeped in history. It’s one where fighters find out who can fight and who is just for show. I believe Max and Sam can build on their records as they both look to move up the ranks towards big fights.”
